Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO), which rose 3.75% or 0.170 points to trade at 4.700 at the close. Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO) added 3.05% or 1.550 points to end at 52.400 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 2.78% or 0.010 points to 0.370 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eczacibasi Ilac (IS:ECILC), which lost 5.15% or 0.190 points to trade at 3.500 in late trade. Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO) declined 2.92% or 0.080 points to end at 2.660 and Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) shed 2.83% or 0.060 points to 2.060.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 232 to 104 and 70 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.44% or 5.45 to $1256.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.61% or 0.33 to hit $54.12 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.80% or 0.45 to trade at $56.13 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.67% to 3.5928, while EUR/TRY rose 0.54% to 3.8002.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.02.
