Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 1.64% or 0.16 points to trade at 9.93 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.26% or 0.044 points to end at 3.524 and TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V) was up 1.12% or 0.052 points to 4.690 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V), which lost 5.99% or 0.65 points to trade at 10.20 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) declined 5.79% or 1.30 points to end at 21.15 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 1.71% or 0.73 points to 41.89.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 75 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.43% or 0.18 to $41.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.31% or 0.13 to hit $41.39 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.60 to trade at $1248.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.1222, while EUR/GBP rose 0.89% to 0.7894.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 95.62.
