The Consumer Products segment provides ready-mix concrete, packaged concrete mix, mortar, sand, and related products. This segment sells its products primarily to contractors in the construction industry. The company was founded in 1946 and is based in Dallas, Texas. As of July 1, 2014, Texas Industries Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Martin Marietta Materials, Inc.
