It was formerly known as EngageSmart, LLC and changed its name to EngageSmart, Inc. in September 2021. EngageSmart, Inc. was founded in 2009 and is based in Braintree, Massachusetts. As of January 26, 2024, EngageSmart, Inc. was taken private.
