Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 4.76% or 0.5 points to trade at 11.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) added 4.08% or 1.3 points to end at 33.2 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC) was up 3.90% or 0.07 points to 1.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which fell 2.30% or 1.12 points to trade at 47.49 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 1.99% or 0.60 points to end at 29.60 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was down 1.57% or 1.80 points to 112.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 99 to 86 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.56% or 0.56 to $36.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.10% or 0.04 to hit $36.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.56% or 6.00 to trade at $1074.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.36% to 9.5520, while USD/NOK fell 0.94% to 8.6997.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 98.08.
