WARSAW, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Poland's Deputy Energy Minister Grzegorz Tobiszowski said on Friday that the signing of a contract to take over the Polish assets of French power group EDF EDF.PA should take place early in the second quarter.
A consortium of Polish energy companies signed a memorandum of understanding with EDF on the sale of the French company's assets in late January.
In December, the Polish government prevented EDF from selling the plants to two private investors - Australia's IFM Investors and Czech utility EPH, citing concerns for the long- term security of energy supplies.
