Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Mining and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which rose 3.64% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.570 at the close. Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) added 2.59% or 0.190 points to end at 7.520 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was up 2.11% or 0.050 points to 2.420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atacocha (LM:ATB), which lost 3.70% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.260 in late trade. Sider (LM:SID) declined 2.67% or 0.010 points to end at 0.365 and Bolsa de Valores de Lima SAA (LM:BVL) shed 2.08% or 0.070 points to 3.300.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 13 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.20% or 0.58 to $47.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.19% or 0.60 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.93% or 11.77 to trade at $1278.77 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.11% to 3.2710, while EUR/PEN rose 0.72% to 3.6896.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 96.61.
