Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which rose 2.67% or 25.0 points to trade at 962.0 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 2.07% or 5.7 points to end at 281.7 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 1.92% or 1.17 points to 62.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which lost 2.51% or 4.20 points to trade at 163.30 in late trade. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 1.36% or 3.20 points to end at 232.10 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) shed 1.16% or 0.45 points to 38.44.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 358 to 353 and 82 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.70% or 1.74 to $45.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.14% or 1.56 to hit $48.05 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.21 to trade at $1222.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.31% to 9.6409, while USD/SEK fell 0.23% to 8.5061.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 96.09.
