Yandal Resources Ltd (ASX:YRL) has kicked off the first phase of aircore drilling across the Caladan and Irulan target areas within the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee (IWB) Gold Project in Western Australia.
The Caladan and Irulan target areas are early-stage, large-scale exploration targets identified by a ground gravity survey earlier this year.
Aircore drilling will include a single line across the core of the Caladan target area, testing several interpreted structures and the stratigraphy across the 3-kilometre-wide, 8-kilometre-long fold structure.
Yandal will also complete 800-metre-spaced aircore lines across the northern half of the Irulan target area.
The company expects to complete a total of 65 holes across both target areas, with the drilling set to be completed by the end of this month.
Yandal will finalise a second broader-scale phase of aircore drilling across the Caladan target area once heritage surveys are completed.
