Investing.com – United Arab Emirates equities were mixed at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate & Construction, Transport and Consumer Staples sectors propelled shares higher while losses in the Services, Finance & Investment and Insurance sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Dubai, the DFM General lost 0.32%, while the ADX General index climbed 0.27%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the DFM General were Damac Properties Dubai Co PSC (DU:DAMAC), which rose 4.95% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.330 at the close. SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA) added 1.92% or 0.020 points to end at 1.060 and Amlak Finance PJSC (DU:AMLK) was up 1.12% or 0.008 points to 0.720 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Takaful House (DU:DTKF), which lost 4.61% or 0.035 points to trade at 0.724 in late trade. Drake & Scull International PJSC (DU:DSI) declined 2.69% or 0.018 points to end at 0.651 and Gulf General Investments Company (DU:GGIC) shed 2.50% or 0.007 points to 0.273.

The top performers on the ADX General were Invest Bank AD (AD:INVB) which rose 10.13% to 2.500, Em Driving Co (AD:DRIV) which was up 8.82% to settle at 7.40 and Arkan Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:ARKN) which gained 3.57% to close at 0.5800.

The worst performers were Abu Dhabi National for Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:BILD) which was down 7.41% to 0.500 in late trade, Ad Natl Energy (AD:TAQA) which lost 1.63% to settle at 1.210 and International Holding Company PJSC (AD:IHC) which was down 1.57% to 1.25 at the close.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 6 and 5 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 11 fell and 7 advanced, while 8 ended unchanged on the Dubai Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.51% or 0.36 to $69.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.21% or 0.16 to hit $75.39 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 2.90 to trade at $1218.40 a troy ounce.

USD/AED was up 0.01% to 3.6732, while EUR/AED rose 0.33% to 4.3126.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 94.00.
