Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Metal Products & Machinery and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO), which rose 6.40% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.830 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) added 4.35% or 0.010 points to end at 0.230 and Gubre Fabrik. (IS:GUBRF) was up 4.03% or 0.30 points to 7.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gsd Holding (IS:GSDHO), which fell 4.03% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.190 at the close. Tekstilbank (IS:TEKST) declined 3.64% or 0.080 points to end at 2.120 and Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) was down 3.57% or 0.020 points to 0.540.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 238 to 158 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gsd Holding (IS:GSDHO) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.03% or 0.050 to 1.190. Shares in Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) rose to 5-year lows; gaining 4.35% or 0.010 to 0.230. Shares in Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) fell to 3-years lows; down 3.57% or 0.020 to 0.540.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.20% or 2.20 to $1091.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.06% or 0.93 to hit $46.10 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.04% or 0.52 to trade at $50.03 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.33% to 2.7713, while EUR/TRY fell 0.28% to 3.0370.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 97.52.
