Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Insurance and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 13.04% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.260 at the close. Meanwhile, Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON) added 10.12% or 2.05 points to end at 22.30 and Aselsan (IS:ASELS) was up 2.94% or 0.45 points to 15.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which fell 3.56% or 0.45 points to trade at 12.20 at the close. Saf Gmyo (IS:SAFGY) declined 3.42% or 0.040 points to end at 1.130 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) was down 1.85% or 0.030 points to 1.590.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 204 to 190 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aselsan (IS:ASELS) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.94% or 0.45 to 15.75.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.31% or 3.60 to $1143.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $51.42 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.52% or 0.29 to trade at $57.41 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.47% to 2.6578, while EUR/TRY fell 0.15% to 2.8956.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 97.66.
