Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Technology and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER), which rose 6.39% or 2.22 points to trade at 36.96 at the close. Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) added 5.37% or 0.560 points to end at 10.990 and Kordsa Global (IS:KORDS) was up 4.31% or 0.33 points to 7.98 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ayen Enerji (IS:AYEN), which lost 7.04% or 0.330 points to trade at 4.360 in late trade. Emlak Konut Gmyo (IS:EKGYO) declined 5.90% or 0.180 points to end at 2.870 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL) shed 5.47% or 0.470 points to 8.130.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 216 to 125 and 62 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.45% or 5.65 to $1254.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.42% or 0.20 to hit $47.77 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.12% or 0.06 to trade at $50.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.05% to 3.6137, while EUR/TRY rose 0.82% to 3.9320.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.68% at 98.91.
