Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Sports, Leasing & Factoring and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 2.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS), which rose 7.16% or 7.40 points to trade at 110.80 at the close. TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) added 6.04% or 1.66 points to end at 29.16 and Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) was up 3.94% or 0.220 points to 5.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI), which lost 12.50% or 4.00 points to trade at 28.00 in late trade. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) declined 9.80% or 0.200 points to end at 1.840 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) shed 9.66% or 0.370 points to 3.460.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 365 to 35 and 10 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 0.70 to $1219.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.29% or 0.86 to hit $67.67 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.21% or 0.87 to trade at $72.94 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 16.90% to 6.4876, while EUR/TRY rose 15.56% to 7.3972.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.78% at 96.20.
