Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Basic Metals and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR), which rose 4.58% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.370 at the close. TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) added 3.11% or 0.84 points to end at 27.84 and Halk Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:HLGYO) was up 3.08% or 0.020 points to 0.670 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE), which lost 6.57% or 0.360 points to trade at 5.120 in late trade. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) declined 6.30% or 0.52 points to end at 7.73 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) shed 6.03% or 0.95 points to 14.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 275 to 96 and 37 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.06% or 0.70 to $1224.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $69.05 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.21% or 0.17 to trade at $79.61 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.68% to 5.6830, while EUR/TRY rose 0.27% to 6.5179.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 95.78.
