Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Tourism sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 10.63% or 0.440 points to trade at 4.580 at the close. Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) added 7.80% or 1.72 points to end at 23.76 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) was up 4.31% or 0.57 points to 13.78 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which lost 6.37% or 0.130 points to trade at 1.910 in late trade. Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) declined 5.37% or 0.510 points to end at 8.980 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) shed 5.09% or 1.68 points to 31.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 271 to 90 and 41 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.70% or 8.94 to $1269.16 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.35% or 0.19 to hit $54.73 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.61% or 0.37 to trade at $60.99 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 2.04% to 3.8749, while EUR/TRY rose 1.66% to 4.5016.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 94.84.
