Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Banking and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 8.39% or 1.060 points to trade at 13.700 at the close. Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) added 5.55% or 1.60 points to end at 30.44 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 4.45% or 0.33 points to 7.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which lost 5.61% or 0.180 points to trade at 3.030 in late trade. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) declined 5.29% or 2.85 points to end at 51.00 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) shed 5.08% or 3.10 points to 57.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 243 to 125 and 38 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.40 to $1229.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.30% or 0.82 to hit $62.28 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.30% or 0.95 to trade at $72.22 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.68% to 5.4024, while EUR/TRY rose 1.78% to 6.1725.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.00% at 96.09.
