Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN), which rose 8.54% or 0.410 points to trade at 5.210 at the close. Alarko Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:ALGYO) added 7.85% or 3.95 points to end at 54.25 and Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM) was up 3.61% or 0.25 points to 7.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which lost 5.33% or 0.18 points to trade at 3.20 in late trade. TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) declined 5.26% or 1.50 points to end at 27.00 and Aygaz AS (IS:AYGAZ) shed 4.95% or 0.66 points to 12.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 237 to 118 and 52 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.05% or 0.60 to $1229.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.31% or 0.90 to hit $69.55 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.43% or 1.13 to trade at $80.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.56% to 5.6668, while EUR/TRY rose 0.96% to 6.5284.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 95.43.
