Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Information Technology, Leasing & Factoring and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.69% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which rose 6.65% or 0.91 points to trade at 14.60 at the close. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 4.88% or 0.200 points to end at 4.300 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) was up 4.65% or 0.920 points to 20.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which lost 19.88% or 1.000 points to trade at 4.030 in late trade. Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) declined 14.18% or 2.61 points to end at 15.80 and Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) shed 7.39% or 0.340 points to 4.260.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 321 to 60 and 20 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.78% or 9.92 to $1288.12 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.94% or 1.07 to hit $56.21 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.40% or 0.86 to trade at $62.22 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.59% to 3.8859, while EUR/TRY rose 0.70% to 4.5800.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 93.70.
