Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Banking and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which rose 9.90% or 0.300 points to trade at 3.330 at the close. Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) added 9.22% or 5.65 points to end at 66.95 and Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM) was up 7.48% or 1.58 points to 22.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which lost 5.38% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.230 in late trade. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 5.26% or 0.020 points to end at 0.360 and Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) shed 4.16% or 0.46 points to 10.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 212 to 155 and 41 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.11% or 1.30 to $1206.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.44% or 0.31 to hit $69.94 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.18% or 0.14 to trade at $77.88 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.50% to 6.6158, while EUR/TRY fell 1.32% to 7.6719.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 95.09.
