Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Leasing & Factoring and Tourism sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS), which rose 4.77% or 4.45 points to trade at 97.65 at the close. Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) added 4.71% or 0.760 points to end at 16.910 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) was up 4.06% or 0.24 points to 6.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vakif Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:VKGYO), which lost 5.09% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.610 in late trade. Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) declined 4.01% or 0.26 points to end at 6.22 and Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA) shed 3.64% or 0.150 points to 3.970.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 248 to 105 and 51 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.19% or 2.50 to $1316.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.21% or 1.35 to hit $59.80 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 2.05% or 1.33 to trade at $63.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.05% to 3.8236, while EUR/TRY fell 0.09% to 4.6813.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 90.31.
