Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were CarrefourSA Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA), which rose 9.33% or 0.46 points to trade at 5.39 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) added 6.09% or 0.14 points to end at 2.44 and Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) was up 5.58% or 5.55 points to 105.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which lost 6.94% or 1.030 points to trade at 13.820 in late trade. Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) declined 6.00% or 0.320 points to end at 5.010 and Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) shed 5.42% or 0.090 points to 1.570.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 232 to 133 and 40 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.02% or 0.20 to $1322.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.55% or 0.39 to hit $70.97 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.21% or 0.16 to trade at $77.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.65% to 4.3011, while EUR/TRY rose 1.91% to 5.1405.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 92.38.
