Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Real Estate Investments and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL), which rose 7.02% or 3.24 points to trade at 49.38 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 4.67% or 0.270 points to end at 6.050 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was up 4.37% or 0.94 points to 22.46 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO), which lost 5.15% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.840 in late trade. Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) declined 4.91% or 0.290 points to end at 5.620 and Aygaz AS (IS:AYGAZ) shed 4.05% or 0.51 points to 12.08.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 265 to 103 and 37 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.20 to $1208.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.34% or 0.24 to hit $70.53 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.79% or 0.63 to trade at $78.77 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.57% to 6.2138, while EUR/TRY fell 0.04% to 7.3078.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 93.73.
