Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Sports, Leasing & Factoring and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 8.23% or 0.190 points to trade at 2.500 at the close. Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD) added 7.79% or 0.320 points to end at 4.430 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was up 5.12% or 1.300 points to 26.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which lost 3.65% or 1.16 points to trade at 30.58 in late trade. Vakif Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:VKGYO) declined 3.63% or 0.070 points to end at 1.860 and Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) shed 3.33% or 0.12 points to 3.48.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 207 to 148 and 51 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.30% or 3.60 to $1202.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.29% or 0.90 to hit $68.97 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.93% or 0.73 to trade at $77.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.03% to 6.5998, while EUR/TRY fell 0.64% to 7.6768.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 95.10.
