Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Telecoms and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which rose 13.13% or 0.94 points to trade at 8.10 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 10.45% or 2.340 points to end at 24.740 and Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM) was up 3.80% or 0.88 points to 24.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER), which lost 2.27% or 0.48 points to trade at 20.64 in late trade. Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) declined 2.21% or 0.350 points to end at 15.490 and Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) shed 2.13% or 0.020 points to 0.920.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.68% or 9.02 to $1339.42 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.40% or 0.19 to hit $47.48 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.66% or 0.35 to trade at $52.40 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.01% to 3.4308, while EUR/TRY rose 0.54% to 4.0892.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 92.46.
