Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Transport, Sports and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA), which rose 3.67% or 0.370 points to trade at 10.460 at the close. Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) added 3.55% or 12.60 points to end at 367.60 and Turcas Petrol AS (IS:TRCAS) was up 2.85% or 0.070 points to 2.530 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO), which lost 5.01% or 0.190 points to trade at 3.600 in late trade. ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) declined 3.58% or 0.160 points to end at 4.310 and Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) shed 2.90% or 0.140 points to 4.690.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 203 to 146 and 57 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.52% or 6.90 to $1320.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.14% or 0.70 to hit $60.45 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.67% or 0.43 to trade at $63.91 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.57% to 3.8230, while EUR/TRY fell 0.04% to 4.7173.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.52% at 90.03.
