Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Tourism, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 5.35% or 0.190 points to trade at 3.740 at the close. Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) added 3.94% or 0.26 points to end at 6.86 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was up 3.63% or 0.250 points to 7.130 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which lost 2.99% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.650 in late trade. Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK) declined 2.47% or 0.170 points to end at 6.720 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) shed 2.39% or 0.140 points to 5.730.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 201 to 149 and 53 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.10% or 1.27 to $1275.53 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.00% or 1.00 to hit $50.98 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.40% or 1.34 to trade at $57.14 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.08% to 3.5750, while EUR/TRY fell 0.38% to 4.1904.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 93.74.
