Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Technology and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which rose 8.17% or 0.66 points to trade at 8.74 at the close. Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) added 6.19% or 0.070 points to end at 1.200 and Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM) was up 4.12% or 0.160 points to 4.040 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which lost 4.15% or 1.060 points to trade at 24.480 in late trade. Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) declined 3.60% or 0.650 points to end at 17.430 and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) shed 3.13% or 0.020 points to 0.620.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 179 to 169 and 59 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.12% or 1.50 to $1231.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.20% or 0.14 to hit $71.92 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.37% or 0.30 to trade at $81.08 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.15% to 5.7180, while EUR/TRY fell 1.03% to 6.6330.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 94.64.
