Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Wood, Paper & Printing and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 8.33% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.650 at the close. Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) added 3.69% or 1.70 points to end at 47.80 and Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) was up 2.63% or 3.00 points to 117.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD), which lost 4.56% or 0.330 points to trade at 6.900 in late trade. Kartonsan Karton Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARTN) declined 4.07% or 13.40 points to end at 315.60 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) shed 3.41% or 1.50 points to 42.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 232 to 120 and 54 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.37% or 4.62 to $1260.08 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $49.42 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.05 to trade at $52.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.07% to 3.5313, while EUR/TRY fell 0.48% to 4.1436.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 93.66.
