Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Transport, Basic Metals and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS), which rose 5.91% or 1.66 points to trade at 29.76 at the close. Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) added 5.89% or 2.34 points to end at 42.10 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 4.38% or 12.70 points to 302.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which lost 8.47% or 0.770 points to trade at 8.320 in late trade. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 6.45% or 0.040 points to end at 0.580 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) shed 6.41% or 1.26 points to 18.41.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 246 to 107 and 48 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.42% or 5.33 to $1279.53 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.42% or 0.24 to hit $56.98 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $63.53 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.32% to 3.8765, while EUR/TRY rose 0.30% to 4.5224.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.41.
