Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Sports and Metal Products & Machinery sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK), which rose 20.00% or 0.300 points to trade at 1.800 at the close. Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ) added 5.04% or 0.060 points to end at 1.250 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) was up 4.32% or 0.120 points to 2.900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO), which lost 2.85% or 0.080 points to trade at 2.730 in late trade. Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) declined 2.51% or 1.55 points to end at 60.15 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) shed 2.41% or 0.88 points to 35.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 179 to 167 and 59 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.10% or 1.30 to $1264.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.24% or 0.14 to hit $57.36 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.19% or 0.12 to trade at $63.53 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.19% to 3.8371, while EUR/TRY rose 0.42% to 4.5325.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.26.
