Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Leasing & Factoring and Sports sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN), which rose 9.66% or 0.140 points to trade at 1.590 at the close. Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) added 5.00% or 0.050 points to end at 1.050 and Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) was up 4.15% or 2.80 points to 70.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which lost 8.00% or 0.400 points to trade at 4.600 in late trade. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 7.59% or 0.470 points to end at 5.720 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) shed 7.38% or 0.310 points to 3.890.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 176 to 166 and 65 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.55% or 7.11 to $1290.01 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.43% or 0.20 to hit $46.98 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.07% or 0.54 to trade at $50.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.01% to 3.5171, while EUR/TRY fell 0.22% to 4.1303.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 93.59.
