Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO), which rose 4.84% or 0.140 points to trade at 3.030 at the close. Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO) added 4.27% or 0.190 points to end at 4.640 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) was up 2.95% or 0.35 points to 12.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL), which lost 13.57% or 1.350 points to trade at 8.600 in late trade. Metro Holding (IS:METRO) declined 3.76% or 0.050 points to end at 1.280 and Turcas Petrol (IS:TRCAS) shed 2.09% or 0.040 points to 1.870.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 175 to 154 and 79 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.08% or 1.05 to $1248.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $47.77 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $50.55 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.68% to 3.6101, while EUR/TRY fell 0.44% to 3.9032.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 99.44.
