Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which rose 9.28% or 4.06 points to trade at 47.80 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) added 8.25% or 0.330 points to end at 4.330 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) was up 6.73% or 1.84 points to 29.18 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which lost 3.62% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.330 in late trade. Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) declined 1.66% or 0.38 points to end at 22.46 and Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) shed 0.35% or 0.04 points to 11.31.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 334 to 44 and 31 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.09% or 1.10 to $1214.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.26% or 0.18 to hit $68.69 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.17 to trade at $76.67 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 2.36% to 6.2663, while EUR/TRY rose 2.83% to 7.3529.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.44.
