Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 10.41% or 0.280 points to trade at 2.970 at the close. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) added 8.84% or 3.98 points to end at 49.00 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 7.34% or 0.370 points to 5.410 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Dogus Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret AS (IS:DOAS), which lost 6.00% or 0.30 points to trade at 4.70 in late trade. Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) declined 5.39% or 0.16 points to end at 2.81 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) shed 3.23% or 0.010 points to 0.300.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 247 to 109 and 50 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.73% or 21.00 to $1233.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.74% or 1.79 to hit $63.52 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 3.19% or 2.41 to trade at $73.06 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.08% to 5.5251, while EUR/TRY fell 0.27% to 6.3076.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.71% at 96.21.
