Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Transport, Technology and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS), which rose 6.47% or 0.450 points to trade at 7.400 at the close. Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) added 6.00% or 0.990 points to end at 17.490 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was up 5.85% or 0.210 points to 3.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which lost 5.43% or 0.44 points to trade at 7.66 in late trade. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) declined 1.87% or 1.10 points to end at 57.80 and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) shed 1.64% or 0.010 points to 0.600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 277 to 88 and 42 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.33% or 4.00 to $1223.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $70.95 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.67% or 0.54 to trade at $79.72 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.44% to 5.9468, while EUR/TRY fell 0.02% to 6.8813.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 94.88.
