Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Transport and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 8.33% or 0.250 points to trade at 3.250 at the close. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 6.79% or 0.110 points to end at 1.730 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was up 6.70% or 1.400 points to 22.300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which lost 6.73% or 0.200 points to trade at 2.770 in late trade. Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) declined 3.90% or 15.50 points to end at 381.50 and Alarko Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:ALGYO) shed 2.29% or 1.30 points to 55.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 240 to 102 and 63 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% or 2.70 to $1233.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.61% or 0.39 to hit $63.30 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.04 to trade at $72.93 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.71% to 5.4184, while EUR/TRY fell 2.11% to 6.1679.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 96.36.
