Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Textile & Leather sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which rose 5.46% or 0.73 points to trade at 14.10 at the close. Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) added 4.63% or 0.050 points to end at 1.130 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) was up 4.54% or 0.320 points to 7.370 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vakif Gmyo (IS:VKGYO), which lost 3.43% or 0.080 points to trade at 2.250 in late trade. Celebi (IS:CLEBI) declined 2.41% or 0.52 points to end at 21.08 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) shed 1.64% or 0.010 points to 0.600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 231 to 101 and 75 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.39% or 5.10 to $1322.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.99% or 1.29 to hit $44.45 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 3.01% or 1.37 to trade at $46.82 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.30% to 2.9537, while EUR/TRY fell 0.68% to 3.2946.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 95.92.
