Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Banking and Holdings & Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 17.62% or 2.910 points to trade at 19.430 at the close. Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) added 7.41% or 0.100 points to end at 1.450 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 5.82% or 15.00 points to 272.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO), which lost 7.14% or 15.70 points to trade at 204.10 in late trade. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) declined 2.50% or 0.80 points to end at 31.20 and Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD) shed 2.37% or 0.140 points to 5.770.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 253 to 109 and 42 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.25% or 3.29 to $1294.89 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.71% or 0.83 to hit $47.83 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.88% or 0.99 to trade at $51.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.60% to 3.4962, while EUR/TRY fell 0.15% to 4.1308.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 93.04.
