Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Transport and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR), which rose 12.41% or 0.180 points to trade at 1.630 at the close. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) added 8.12% or 4.30 points to end at 57.25 and Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) was up 4.90% or 0.720 points to 15.410 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which lost 19.94% or 1.440 points to trade at 5.780 in late trade. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) declined 3.64% or 0.26 points to end at 6.89 and Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) shed 3.11% or 0.080 points to 2.490.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 215 to 140 and 50 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.08% or 1.00 to $1250.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 4.58% or 2.30 to hit $47.90 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 3.34% or 1.99 to trade at $57.62 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.42% to 5.3485, while EUR/TRY fell 0.29% to 6.0808.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 96.507.
