Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Transport and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS), which rose 7.51% or 3.16 points to trade at 45.26 at the close. Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) added 6.64% or 0.650 points to end at 10.440 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was up 5.48% or 1.440 points to 27.720 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which lost 19.95% or 1.660 points to trade at 6.660 in late trade. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 3.45% or 0.020 points to end at 0.560 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) shed 3.38% or 0.130 points to 3.720.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 195 to 158 and 48 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.56 to $1279.46 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.38% or 1.35 to hit $55.41 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.52% or 1.59 to trade at $61.57 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.81% to 3.9021, while EUR/TRY rose 1.57% to 4.5881.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 93.99.
