Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Banking and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM), which rose 8.03% or 0.46 points to trade at 6.19 at the close. Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) added 5.69% or 0.210 points to end at 3.900 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was up 4.61% or 0.260 points to 5.900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA), which lost 3.59% or 7.70 points to trade at 206.70 in late trade. Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) declined 2.42% or 0.660 points to end at 26.580 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) shed 2.31% or 0.080 points to 3.380.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 184 to 146 and 75 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.08% or 1.00 to $1291.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.70% or 0.51 to hit $72.86 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.46% or 1.16 to trade at $80.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.46% to 4.6428, while EUR/TRY rose 1.38% to 5.4718.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.46.
