Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Banking and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.94%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME), which rose 6.35% or 0.160 points to trade at 2.680 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 5.76% or 0.440 points to end at 8.080 and Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) was up 5.56% or 0.090 points to 1.710 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:AGHOL), which lost 3.46% or 0.43 points to trade at 11.98 in late trade. TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) declined 3.33% or 0.78 points to end at 22.64 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) shed 3.00% or 0.96 points to 31.04.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 222 to 125 and 59 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.62% or 7.65 to $1251.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 4.62% or 2.38 to hit $53.87 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 5.36% or 3.22 to trade at $63.28 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.06% to 5.2827, while EUR/TRY fell 1.01% to 6.0220.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 96.632.
