Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Telecoms and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.83%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM), which rose 6.21% or 0.38 points to trade at 6.50 at the close. Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) added 6.08% or 0.160 points to end at 2.790 and ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) was up 4.65% or 0.240 points to 5.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM), which lost 4.11% or 0.88 points to trade at 20.54 in late trade. Dogus Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret AS (IS:DOAS) declined 3.93% or 0.26 points to end at 6.36 and TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) shed 3.59% or 1.08 points to 29.02.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 185 to 157 and 66 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.12% or 1.50 to $1222.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.65% or 1.16 to hit $68.97 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.02% or 0.77 to trade at $74.78 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.52% to 4.9082, while EUR/TRY rose 0.49% to 5.7460.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 94.29.
