Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO), which rose 5.59% or 0.950 points to trade at 17.950 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 3.56% or 0.570 points to end at 16.600 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 3.18% or 12.80 points to 415.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which lost 3.46% or 0.090 points to trade at 2.510 in late trade. Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD) declined 3.40% or 0.140 points to end at 3.980 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) shed 3.29% or 0.120 points to 3.530.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 205 to 148 and 55 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.08% or 1.00 to $1200.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.53% or 1.71 to hit $69.25 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.95% or 1.51 to trade at $78.88 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.15% to 6.4532, while EUR/TRY fell 0.21% to 7.4804.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 95.22.
