Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Holdings & Investments and Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 5.66% or 0.220 points to trade at 4.110 at the close. Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) added 5.50% or 0.280 points to end at 5.370 and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) was up 5.36% or 0.030 points to 0.590 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which lost 4.60% or 0.86 points to trade at 17.84 in late trade. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) declined 4.09% or 0.610 points to end at 14.290 and Turkiye Sinai Kalkinma Bankasi AS (IS:TSKB) shed 2.41% or 0.020 points to 0.810.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 187 to 162 and 60 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.34% or 4.00 to $1192.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.85% or 0.63 to hit $74.92 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.13% or 0.95 to trade at $84.86 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.01% to 6.1114, while EUR/TRY fell 0.06% to 7.0217.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 95.44.
