Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 13.56% or 0.080 points to trade at 0.670 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) added 6.47% or 0.150 points to end at 2.470 and Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) was up 3.45% or 0.050 points to 1.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO), which lost 3.94% or 6.60 points to trade at 161.10 in late trade. Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) declined 1.83% or 0.150 points to end at 8.050 and Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA) shed 1.59% or 0.080 points to 4.960.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 215 to 132 and 58 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.15% or 1.93 to $1275.97 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $50.45 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $55.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 3.5743, while EUR/TRY rose 0.23% to 4.2047.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.31.
