Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Transport and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were CarrefourSA Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA), which rose 16.28% or 0.71 points to trade at 5.07 at the close. Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) added 14.98% or 0.370 points to end at 2.840 and ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) was up 10.00% or 0.700 points to 7.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Goltas Goller Bolgesi Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GOLTS), which lost 11.49% or 4.84 points to trade at 37.30 in late trade. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) declined 4.39% or 0.090 points to end at 1.960 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) shed 3.95% or 0.60 points to 14.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 189 to 166 and 53 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.26% or 3.10 to $1202.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.53% or 1.41 to hit $57.10 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.69% or 1.76 to trade at $67.23 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.17% to 5.4667, while EUR/TRY fell 0.02% to 6.1864.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 96.88.
