Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Transport, Wood, Paper & Printing and Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 9.51% or 0.660 points to trade at 7.600 at the close. Kartonsan Karton Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARTN) added 7.33% or 23.70 points to end at 347.00 and Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK) was up 5.58% or 0.110 points to 2.080 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE), which lost 3.34% or 0.170 points to trade at 4.920 in late trade. Alarko Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:ALGYO) declined 3.11% or 1.54 points to end at 47.96 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) shed 3.01% or 0.45 points to 14.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 181 to 148 and 78 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.37% or 4.60 to $1223.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 6.81% or 3.72 to hit $50.91 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 6.12% or 3.83 to trade at $58.77 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.40% to 5.2811, while EUR/TRY fell 1.04% to 5.9939.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 96.787.
