Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Basic Metals and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 8.70% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.500 at the close. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) added 5.51% or 1.90 points to end at 36.38 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) was up 4.46% or 0.220 points to 5.150 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which lost 3.00% or 0.47 points to trade at 15.19 in late trade. Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) declined 2.67% or 0.100 points to end at 3.650 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) shed 2.65% or 0.190 points to 6.970.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 185 to 166 and 57 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1321.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.38% or 0.83 to hit $60.95 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.30% or 0.83 to trade at $64.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.23% to 3.8149, while EUR/TRY fell 0.23% to 4.7008.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 90.07.
